2005 Tax Extension
An "Extension" is a way to ask the IRS for more time to file your tax return. The deadline to file your 2005 tax return is
April 17, 2006. Filing for a tax extension will extend your deadline by six months. After filing a tax extension, your
new deadline to file your 2005 tax return will be October 16, 2006.
Need more time to prepare your tax return? If you are not able to file your individual income tax return by April 17,2006
you may be able to get an automatic 6-month tax extension of time to file.
